The LRI landing plate assembly is utilized when running tandem, wireline or tubing conveyed perforating guns into the well. The plate is used to temporarily hang the lower gun assembly, which has already been lowered into the well, while the upper gun assembly is being picked up.

The slot of the landing plate slides around a groove, machined into the LRI tandem sub. After fully seating the tandem sub into the landing plate’s slot, the latch bar is moved into place, and locked with the unique T-handle locking pin. The one-piece T-handle is engaged using the thumb, providing a positive lock once in position.

Once the guns have been deployed and tubing is ready to be run, the landing plate is removed and replaced by the rig slips.
