Used in the collar between tubing joints above the mechanical firing head, the LRI No-Go Insert ensures that wireline logging tools are not able to inadvertently contact the firing pin and initiate gun detonation. The inside diameter of 40 mm (1.575”) prevents anything larger from passing through.
The LRI style insert is simply placed inside the coupling between the lower and upper tubing joints. The symmetrical design allows operators to place either end up.
Design is much stronger than competitive designs, preventing the no-go from potentially breaking away due to the impact from a dropped object.
