TCP SAFETY SPANNER
Product Series: TCP *** SS
This spanner fulfills a number of purposes to support LRI’s TCP line:
1. The two points at the bottom of the “T” are used to turn the mechanical firing head’s initiator retainer housing into place. Other models require that the housing is locked in place by placing an allen wrench into a hex-hole; this creates the potential for the wrench to come into contact with the initiator itself. The safety spanner eliminates one potential source of an unsafe condition.
2. The laser-cut tab on the end of the “T” acts as a screwdriver head to tighten the pin into the body of the LRI Kobe (pressure release) sub.
3. When assembling the 2 3/8” mechanical shift-up gun release, the latch needs to be tapped in place, locking the keys into position for running. The operator will place the bottom end of the spanner on top of the latch and tap the spanner with a hammer, forcing the latch into place. After each successive tap, the operator should rotate the spanner 90˚ in order to ensure the latch stays aligned.
