FULL BORE MECHANICAL SHIFT-UP TUBING RELEASE

The LRI Full Bore Mechanical Shift-Up Tubing Release allows the operator to drop the tubing- conveyed perforating assembly to the cellar below the producing formation. This allows the tubing above the release to be used for production and leaves a tapered re-entry guide for any future re-work. The release is operated by engaging an Otis-B type shifting tool (with selective keys) in the latch and jarring upward to shift the latch and release the perforating string. After the latch is shifted, the shifting tool automatically disengages from the tool. The latch remains captive in the lower assembly and leaving no restriction in the production string.

Features:

• Full bore after operation. No latch left behind in the production string.
• Shifting tool does not need to “shear out” to perform release operation.
• The pre-loaded fingers are plastically deformed prior to assembly to minimize the weight required to disengage the tool.
• The tool incorporates a feature that allows torque to be transmitted through the tool. This can be helpful when well restrictions are encountered.
• The outside diameter of the tool is no larger than a tubing collar.
• Incorporates a Teflon seal ring in the female EUE threads to improve seal reliability.
