RA MARKER SUB
Product Series: TCP MA 1000 ***
The LRI radioactive marker sub provides an effective means to accurately determine precise gun/tool depth. The sub is run in the TCP assembly, and located a measured distance above the gun string.
A gamma ray logging tool detects the small radioactive marker*, which must be inserted by the wireline operator into the void machined into the sub body. The log taken after initial positioning of the tubing string, will vividly display the location of the marker sub. Comparison to open hole logs will allow the operator to confirm accurate gun placement prior to activating detonation.
The sub may be used in a TCP string for accurate locating of any component in the string.
As with other products in LRI’s TCP line, a Teflon seal ring is incorporated in the female EUE threads to improve seal reliability.
